Administrative Adjudication

Mission StatementThe mission of administrative adjudication is to provide for fair and efficient enforcement of property maintenance and other city ordinances as set forth in the Municipal Code, as may be allowed by law and directed by ordinance. 

The department is composed of:
  • a hearing officer
  • a city code enforcement superintendent
  • a system records coordinator
  • hearing room personnel
You have the right to:
  • be represented by council
  • present witnesses
  • cross-examine oposing witnesses
This department hears:
  • Building, Residential and Fire Code Violations
  • Refusal to Cut Weeds/Grasses
  • Parking and non-moving Vehicle Code Violations
  • Prohibited Storage of Vehicles
  • Underage Person in a Class C or CC Establishment
  • Disorderly Conduct
  • Use or Explosion of Fireworks in City Limits
  • Trash Accumulation as Nuisance - Abatement
  • Distrubing the Peace
  • Discharging Bow & Arrow in City Limits
  • Discharging Firearm in City Limits
  • Open Burning Prohibited
  • Curfew
  • Truancy
  • Other miscellaneous offences
